Most people remember their first kiss or first car or first drink but I also remember the first book I read from a library. It was Danny and the Dinosaur by Syd Hoff. The library was on Elm St. in Ridgeway, Ontario. It was a 2 story converted house and Danny and the Dinosaur was the first book I borrowed. I also recall going into the old Dell's Department store and spending my 25 cent allowance on a thin stamp collector's book.
